The Greater Boston DanceView is a survey created by and for Boston-area dance artists. Its purpose is to gather information about the local dance workforce—individual artists and small/micro organizations—so that their experiences, needs, and challenges can be better understood, supported, and addressed.
The data collected through the DanceView will provide a clear picture of the Boston-area grassroots dance workforce—who they are, where they work, and what they need to thrive. This information will guide advocacy with city officials and funders, shape more effective programming and support services, and create opportunities for collective action among local dance artists and organizations. By participating, you help ensure that decisions about resources, policies, and programs are informed by the lived experiences of the dance community itself.
